Hakodate Tropical Botanical Garden

Period: 1st December – May Golden week(snow monkeys entering the year tour possible, but it’s only available to see snow monkeys soaking in hot spring during 1st December to May Golden week)

Open time: 09:30 to 18:00/April-October

                    09:30 to 16:30/November-March

Closed: December 29 to January 1

Fees: ¥300/adult, ¥100/elementary and junior high school students

How To Get Here

  • By bus

Take the Hakodate Bus Line 95 bound for “Hiyoshi eigyosho mae” and reach the “Tropical Botanical Garden”. Then walk for 3 minutes.

  • By tram

From the Hakodate-Ekimae tram get on a Route 2 tram going toward Yunokawa onsen. And, get off “Yunokawa onsen” and walk for about 15 minutes.
