The forest campsite is surrounded by nature in the mountains. The tents are free to set up, and the simple bungalows are reasonably priced and are popular with families. It’s a lovely place for waterfowl breeding, located south of Kushiro Marsh. The campsite is perfect for exploring the marshland. The only thing that needs to consider is there are many mosquitos.

My favourite BBQ and campgrounds in this area are Ikoinomori Camping Ground (釧路市音別町憩いの森), Toromotomura Camping Ground (塘路元村キャンプ場), and Akan Tancho-no-Sato Campground (阿寒自然休養村野営場).
You can enjoy bird watching, playing, and fishing on the river at Ikoinomori Camping Ground. And at Toromotomura Camping Ground, you can experience nature by canoeing with a professional guide at the national park, Lake Toro. Akan Tancho-no-Sato Campground is highly recommended for families because there are many activities for both adults and kids.
