The moat of the oldest fort in Japan is illuminated with almost 2000 lights, which you can see a 1.8 kilometer-long moat ornament. You can view the star-shaped fort from Goryokaku Tower, you can see the slightly blue on it and the snow shine like stars.
Then you can walk around Goryokaku Park to enjoy the romantic and historical atmosphere.

How To Get Here
From Hakodate-Ekimae tram get on either a Route 2 or Route 5 tram going toward Yunokawa or Yunokawa-onsen. And, get off at “Goryokaku Koen Mae” and walk for about 10 minutes.
