It’s a campsite in the wilderness surrounded by Lake Shikotsu, one of Japan’s best environments. Also, the natural forest “Giant Tree Forest” (巨木の森)that was cultivated in the eternity.

It is annexed to Abira Town Deer Park (安平町鹿公園). The camp area is well maintained and clean, and there is a long path in the park that you can walk into the woods.

Supermarkets nearby so you can shop conveniently. There is an athletic which children love. Also, there is playground equipment on the baseball field side and recommended to families. The only thing I considered was that the distance from the parking lot to the bungalow is a bit far.

Conclusion
My favourite BBQ and campground in this area are Shika Park Camping Ground (安平町鹿公園キャンプ場), Hobetsu campsite (穂別キャンプ場), and Auto Resort Tomakomai ARTEN (オートリゾート苫小牧アルテン).
You can enjoy being purified by the forest’s unpolluted atmosphere and the rare Ezo deer ranch at Shika Park Camping Ground. At Hobetsu campsite, you can play on the river, fishing and do some sports. Auto Resort Tomakomai ARTEN is amazing that adults and kids both can have a lot of fun.
